Day 4-Discover Bangkok
The holiday ends today for the Pizza hut folks but not without a trip around the city of Angels, as Bangkok is fondly called. You can’t be in a place and not take an interest about the city’s history and culture. In fact, you may as well fell duty bound to spend a couple of hours trying to get to know about the roots of the town or city you are visiting; this would be best discovered by a visit to Bangkok’s most enigmatic and historic temples, the Golden Buddha and the Marble Buddha temple.
The Golden Buddha temple features world’s most massive 5 meters long reclining Golden Buddha statue that was wrapped in plasters over centuries to disguise it from theft from plunderers that helped it go unnoticed for more than 200 years until it was nestled in a brand new temple.
The Marble Buddha temple was built in the 19th century that flaunts a creative blend of European and Thai architecture, its ordination hall has been forged out of white Carara Italian marble in front of which the statue of the Buddha presides. Several paintings decorate the walls of the stupas and along the Veranda, you will find 52 Buddha statues placed in different postures featuring classical styles of Thailand. Enjoy a stroll on the lawns after you have paid homage to the Buddha statue.
After the city tour, the group is set to enjoy Indian lunch at Utsav restaurant after which they head back to the hotel to pack their bags for their flight back home.
