9 Things You Should Never Carry During A Vacation

As your much anticipated trip comes along, excitement increases and escalates even higher once you start to pack. You plan your itinerary, daily schedule and pack your bags accordingly. That’s where hyper-enthusiasm takes over making you plan to do a lot of stuffs, visit numerous places, and take cool photos, forgetting the most important thing – you are going on a ‘vacation’.

You might wish to spend your time lazily on a vacation away from the cacophony to get rid of the stress you have accumulated over the last month or two.  Those extra things you pack will ultimately return with you unused. There’s no point in dragging around excess luggage. Keep calm and read on to find out the areas where you might shed off some luggage weight.

EXTRA CLOTHES

You are going on a vacation. You don’t need to wear a different outfit every day to impress others. Two to three outfits for a single week trip are enough. If there’s a beach where you are going, take a beachwear. Avoid excess apparels.

EXTRA FOOTWEAR

A comfortable pair of shoes to travel and a pair of flip-flops to hop around casually will be enough. Get rid of the excess footwear. They’ll lie piled in a corner of your bag throughout the vacation. Even if you actually manage to wear them, you’ll find cleaning and bringing them back an uphill task. Instead, try some traditional footwear of the place you are visiting.

EXCESSIVE COSMETICS & HAIRDRYER

If you are staying at a standard hotel or lodge, they will provide you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hairdryer. Your hair can manage themselves for a few days sans the additional care of five products. Same goes for your skin.
Most hotels provide hairdryer these days. If not, let it dry on its own. You are on a vacation. Loosen up a little and let idleness take over.

WORKOUT APPAREL

Blessed are those who are motivated enough to hit the gym even on their vacation. If you are indecisive everyday whether to skip your workout regime or not, then you aren’t one of them. Let go of your gym clothes. You’ll definitely find them useless once you are on your vacation.

TOILETRIES & TOWEL

All accommodation places provide complimentary toiletries and towel. If you can’t survive a few days without your favourite brand of toiletries, you shouldn’t have come on a vacation in the first place. If you are a personal hygiene freak, carry your own towel.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Carry as minimum as possible. Only time you might need them is when you are travelling. Better, try some local delicacies. You never know when you’ll get fond of a new recipe. Same goes for liquor.

SHADES & HEADWEAR

A pair of shades and a couple of head-wears will be enough to accompany you. Don’t worry. Those instagram photos will manage to look cool without your diverse collection of shades.

There’s nothing more frustrating than to regretfully unpack the unused items you carried along with you on a vacation. Play a little less defensive. Take some chances. Travel light wherever you go.
